Features for Adagio Checks

6.8A (20020704) - Jul 2002 ( See Release Notes )

  • You can now set the tray / bin when printing checks
  • The specific printer set in File | Options was not used when printing checks
  • The amount in words on checks with no pennies in the amount has been changed to “and 00/100” instead of “and xx/100”
  • The amount in words on checks was wrong for very large even amounts on some machines
  • When a custom form size was set in the check designer, it would not be saved until you set it a second time
  • If a check with 2 or more distributions was printed using a check spec with only a check section and the ‘Max details' is set to 1, the check printed 'VOID' instead of the check number, date, and amount

6.5A (001209) - Dec 2000

  • Adagio products use a new workstation install that allows you to do only one workstation install on each workstation (rather than having to do a workstation install for each product on each workstation).
  • A utility program to check the status of the Adagio products installed on a workstation has been added. This utility determines if the workstation is up to date with versions of Adagio products and related files installed on your server.
  • Adagio Checks now has the ability to print 1099 forms. The check designer allows you to design 1099 forms. The check designer has a new section type called a “Spacer” that is needed to create 1099 specifications for laser printers.
  • Reversing a check for a vendor with 1099 now correctly reduces the YTD 1099 amount by the reversed check amount.
  • Reversed checks now respect the “Send to G/L reference field” and “Send to G/L description field” setting in the company profile.
  • Vendor YTD and Period-to-date statistics are now correctly updated when checks are reversed.
  • Some banks were not able to read certain special characters in the MICR line on checks. This has been corrected.
  • Adagio Checks can create a new directory when creating a database.
  • The Data Integrity Checker now stops after phase 1 if errors are detected, rather than proceeding to phase 2, where unpredictable results could occur due to phase 1 errors. You can rebuild the database to fix phase 1 errors, then run the integrity check again to detect and fix any phase 2 errors.
  • Description fields in the header section of the batch listing were over-lapping in some cases in version 6.5A (000217). This has been corrected.
  • Help was not available for some print dialog screens. This has been corrected.
  • A “range check” error occurred when using the smart finder in the batch number fields on the Batch Status report screen. This has been corrected.
  • If all checks were highlighted in check reconciliation, you could not deselect checks. This has been corrected.
  • Multi-select copy, move, and delete of batches or batch entries was not working correctly in cases where lines were not selected in sequential order and there were gaps in the selection. This has been corrected.
  • Copying a batch to itself causes the program to hang. This has been corrected.
  • If the currency code was blank in company profile and you printed or posted checks after printing a report, the number of decimal places in the check amount became corrupt. This has been corrected.
  • The G/L batch entries for reversed checks were incorrect in some cases. This has been corrected.

6.5A (000217) - March 2000

  • Smart Finder added.
  • Reduced the amount of paper used by the batch listing and check register.
  • When entering checks, the date now defaults to the date of the last check entered.
  • Dates can now be entered without the slash “/”.
  • French dates are now supported on checks, including accents.
  • Paired finder fields were giving an error when tabbing to the second field if the value was not correct. This has been corrected.
  • During batch entry you can now enter the job number without being forced to use the finder.
  • If the Cashbook interface is on, the “Consolidate bank account” option was not working. This has been corrected.
  • In the check reconciliation grid, the Status was not showing the pending change. This has been corrected.
  • If the “Purchase discount account” field was blank in the company profile, GL entries with a blank account were are created when discounts were taken. You are now forced to enter an account in the company profile.
  • The source code “AC” for Adagio Checks is now used for GL transactions rather than “QC”.
  • Attempting to print a batch listing report when there were no open batches caused “Error 533” This has been corrected.
  • In batch entry, the column editor column for Acct/Job/Client only showed the account. This has been corrected.
  • Quik Reports for DOS and Windows tables descriptions are now “Adagio Checks” rather than “Quik Check”.
  • When entering details during batch entry for vendors with a “Tax Included” distribution, the tax field was not displayed correctly. This has been corrected.
