Enhancements and problems fixed in Adagio Lanpak 6.8A (20030307)

• New version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS). There have been several enhancements and revisions in ADS since the initial release of Adagio Lanpak. The new ADS is installed by current versions of the Adagio applications. Therefore, users of Adagio Lanpak 6.8A (2001.06.01) do not need to upgrade their Adagio Lanpak.

Enhancements and problems fixed in Adagio Lanpak 6.8A (20010601)

• Initial release of Adagio Lanpak.
• Adagio applications version 6.8A and later now use the Adagio Data Source (ADS) to interface to the database rather than the Softline Database Interface (DBI) used in earlier versions of Adagio. Adagio applications now use Adagio Lanpaks to increase the number of licenses available to access the database in multi-user installations rather than the Softline Multi-User Packs (MUPs). The method of licensing used by Adagio Lanpak is different than the MUP. Refer to the Adagio Lanpak manual or Readme help file for details.

Installing

To install from the Adagio Lanpak diskette, you need the serial number and install code from the Product Label that came with your Lanpak.

To install Adagio Lanpak, run LANPAK.EXE from the diskette. Once the install program is running, you can click the View button for detailed instructions. If Adagio is installed on a network, you must install the Lanpak to the network drive where the Adagio applications are installed.

Adagio Lanpak does not work with Adagio applications earlier than 6.8A. Adagio applications must be upgraded to version 6.8A or newer in order to work with Adagio Lanpak.

Adagio applications earlier than version 6.8A can be used at the same time as Adagio 6.8A applications and Adagio Lanpak. However, the number of licenses available to pre-6.8A applications will not be increased by Adagio Lanpak. If you are running Adagio applications earlier than version 6.8A, and you are using the Softline Multi-User Pack (MUP), these applications will continue to use the MUP to increase the number of licenses available to them and can be used at the same time as Adagio 6.8A applications and Adagio Lanpak.
